K&N 57 Series FIPK Performance Cold Air Intake for 05-09 Ford Mustang V6-4.0L 57-2566

The K&N 57-2566 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Ford Mustang models. Designed to significantly reduce intake restrictions by smoothing and straightening airflow, the K&N intake allows your Mustang's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the factory assembly. This increased airflow translates to more usable power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range. The 57-2566 air intake includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body, resulting in a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, typically taking 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set, and wrench. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, providing a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. The oversized, conical design allows for up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions.
