K&N 57 Series FIPK Performance Cold Air Intake - High-flow, for 05 Ford Mustang GT V8-4.6L 57-2565

The K&N 57-2565 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Ford Mustang GT models. Designed to reduce intake restriction and improve airflow, this intake allows the Mustang GT's engine to inhale a larger amount of air, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The system includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case breather hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively easy, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set, pliers, and several wrenches.
