The K&N 69-8702TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for certain Lexus GS350 models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing with a K&N Typhoon air intake, which significantly reduces airflow restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows your engine to inhale more air than the factory air intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The K&N cold air intake system, featuring a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, guarantees an increase in horsepower and torque. Each system includes a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter with oiled cotton filter media. The 69-8702TP air intake features a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has a durable chrome-like finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions.
