The Banks Power Derringer is an in-line tuner designed to optimize engine performance across the entire RPM range. It utilizes multiple data inputs, including throttle position, RPM, and exhaust gas temperature, to make real-time adjustments similar to the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). This results in increased torque and power output compared to competitor tuners.

Derringer offers six power levels adjustable through a connected iDash device. The highest level provides best-in-class performance, while lower levels are suitable for work applications or towing, offering improved acceleration and passing power.

The Derringer connects directly to the vehicle's engine sensors and OBD-II diagnostic port. This allows for continuous monitoring of engine health and automatic power adjustments to prevent overheating or damage. Additionally, Derringer features a safety system that bypasses the tuner and restores stock power if any issues are detected.
