The K&N AirCharger 63-9031-1 air intake system replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. Designed to significantly reduce intake restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow, K&N intakes enable your vehicle's engine to inhale more air than the factory air filter assembly, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 63-9031-1 air intake includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts onto the inner fender, directing cooler, denser air through a custom molded intake tube into the engine's throttle body for guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube increases airflow volume to your engine, ensuring a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. A custom heat shield protects intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in under 60 minutes.
