The K&N 57-1532 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Dodge Ram models. Designed to significantly reduce intake restrictions by smoothing and straightening airflow, the K&N intake allows your Ram's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the factory system. This increased airflow translates to more usable power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range. The 57-1532 air intake includes a K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is channeled through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube to the engine's throttle body, resulting in a guaranteed power gain. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before requiring service, depending on driving conditions. An additional vent air filter is installed on the air temperature sensor. Relatively easy to install with only a screwdriver, ratchet set, and wrenches, this air intake can typically be completed in 90 minutes or less.
