ARB tire carriers are manufactured with the same rigorous standards as ARB bumpers. They integrate a heavy-duty towing system and can accommodate one or two tires or a jerry can holder, depending on the vehicle application. These carriers offer a solution to several limitations of factory spare tire mounting locations. For instance, under-vehicle mounted spares can be challenging to access and susceptible to damage off-road. Additionally, rear door mounted spares can strain hinges, leading to rattles and dust seal problems. Furthermore, both these mounting methods may not be suitable for larger tires. ARB tire carriers relocate the spare tire to the bumper with a swing-out mechanism. These carriers utilize gas struts to simplify opening and hold the carrier open during use. A locking pin is only required for extreme inclines. Closing the carrier is a simple slam-shut operation, with a spring-loaded pin automatically disengaging.
