ARB Old Man Emu's BP-51 (Bypass 51mm diameter bore) shock absorbers are high performance, position sensitive bypass shocks designed for both on and off-road use. Developed and tested in Australia, these large-bore shocks feature remote reservoirs and are engineered to install on existing vehicle mounting points without modifications. They combine comfortable on-road manners with significant end-zone damping for improved chassis control and handling off-road. The damping can be adjusted for both rebound and compression, allowing drivers to customize the ride quality to suit specific conditions and vehicle configurations. The shock bodies, reservoirs, and components are all constructed from high-strength, corrosion-resistant 6061 T6 aluminum for heat dissipation and durability. Notably, BP-51 shocks are designed, developed, tested, and manufactured entirely in-house by ARB's team of Old Man Emu ride engineers, ensuring quality control throughout the entire process.
