K&N Typhoon Short Ram Cold Air Intake, Silver for 05-09 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L 69-4515TS

The K&N 69-4515TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit certain Chevrolet Cobalt models. The restrictive factory air filter and intake housing are replaced with the K&N Typhoon air intake, which dramatically reduces air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows the engine to inhale more air than the factory intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the RPM range. The 69-4515TS air intake includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has a durable silver powder-coat finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor and air injection hose on some vehicles. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set, and some wrenches.
