AEM's 75 PSIg pressure sensor kit featuring a stainless steel sensor body with a male 1/8" NPT thread. It includes the sensor itself, a connector, pins, and a 1/8" NPT to -4 adapter.

AEM offers various PSIg stainless steel sensors in different pressure ranges to cater to specific needs. These sensors measure gauge pressure, meaning their reading is relative to atmospheric pressure (0 PSIg at atmospheric pressure). They are commonly used for applications like measuring oil pressure, fuel pressure, brake pressure, or nitrous pressure.

Choosing the right sensor depends on the required level of precision. Similar to how a caliper provides a more precise measurement than a ruler, a stainless steel sensor offers a higher degree of accuracy compared to a brass sensor.

Brass pressure sensors are suitable for applications where a general pressure reference is sufficient, such as a boost gauge that informs the user about manifold pressure but isn't used for calibrating the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

In contrast, stainless steel pressure sensors are ideal for applications requiring highly accurate pressure data, such as a MAP sensor that provides crucial information for ECU calibration.
