Red Line Friction Modifier and Break-In Additive is designed to be compatible with various gear oils, including both synthetic and petroleum-based types. It serves two purposes: replacing the limited-slip additives included in the original gear oil and functioning as a break-in additive for clutch-type limited-slip differentials. By adding this product, users can potentially reduce break-in temperatures by up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. In situations where chatter occurs in clutch-type limited-slip or posi-traction units, the additive can be introduced gradually, one ounce at a time, until the chatter is eliminated.
