Quick Release Pins

Quick release pins are mechanical fasteners designed for fast and easy removal without the need for tools. Unlike a bolt or screw that requires a wrench or screwdriver, a quick release pin can be inserted and removed by hand. These versatile locking pins are used in a wide range of applications, from securing parts on machinery to connecting components on vehicles. They are a reliable way to quickly assemble or disassemble two or more items.

A locking pin, often called a detent pin, is commonly found in two main styles: push-button and ring-handle. Both types feature a detent mechanism—typically spring-loaded balls or a single ball—that locks the pin into a hole. To remove the pin, you simply press a button or pull a ring, which retracts the locking balls, allowing the pin to slide out. This simple design provides a secure hold while allowing for rapid changes, making them a popular choice over traditional metal fasteners.
