The AWE Tuning Audi 2.7T Performance Intercooler Kit utilizes a closely stacked bar and plate core design to maximize heat transfer while minimizing pressure drops. It surpasses the cooling performance of the Audi RS4 intercooler units. Unlike the RS4 intercooler units, the AWE kit is designed for US-spec Audi 2.7T models and requires minimal modification for fitment. This translates to less installation time and cost. The AWE design also ensures complete coverage of the core face with carbon fiber air ducts, whereas RS4 kits leave gaps that allow cool air to escape. However, it is important to note that this intercooler kit is intended for racing use only. For A6 or allroad models, minor trimming to the bumper and shrouds may be necessary.
