AutoMeter vehicle speed sensors are designed to function with AutoMeter electric speedometers. They provide the necessary electrical signal for a straightforward installation process. Compatible with GM and Chrysler transmissions that use a 7/8" -18 threaded speedometer cable output, this sensor generates a 16 pulse per revolution (PPR) signal in a 12v square wave format. An additional feature is the mechanical cable output, allowing the sensor to maintain a mechanical cable connection for vehicles with cruise control systems that rely on a mechanical connection.
