AEM's 75 PSIg Stainless Steel Sensor Kit is a pressure sensor designed for applications requiring high accuracy. The sensor features a stainless steel body for durability and a 1/8" NPT male thread for easy installation. The kit includes the sensor itself, a connector, pins, and a 1/8" NPT to -4 adapter.

This sensor is a gauge style sensor, meaning it measures pressure relative to atmospheric pressure. When exposed to atmospheric pressure, the sensor will read 0 psi. Gauge style sensors are commonly used for measuring oil pressure, fuel pressure, brake pressure, and nitrous pressure.

AEM offers a variety of pressure sensors in different pressure ranges (75, 100, 150, 500, 1,000, and 2,000 PSIg) to suit different needs. The appropriate sensor selection depends on the required level of precision. Similar to the difference between a ruler and a caliper for measuring distance, a brass pressure sensor provides a general indication of pressure, while a stainless steel sensor offers high accuracy for critical applications. Brass sensors are suitable for applications where a general pressure reference is needed, such as a boost gauge. In contrast, stainless steel sensors are ideal for situations requiring precise pressure data, such as providing information to an Engine Control Unit (ECU) for calibration purposes.
