AEM offers stainless steel pressure sensors in various pressure ranges (100, 150, 500, 1,000, and 2,000 PSIg) for measuring pressure relative to atmospheric pressure (gauge pressure). These sensors are commonly used for monitoring oil, fuel, brake, and nitrous pressure.

Choosing the right sensor depends on the level of precision required. Similar to the difference between a ruler and a caliper for measuring distance, a brass pressure sensor provides a general indication of pressure, while a stainless steel sensor offers higher accuracy for critical applications like Engine Control Unit (ECU) calibration. Brass sensors are suitable for gauges displaying pressure for reference, such as boost gauges.
