Front Axles

Front Axles are a critical component of a vehicle's front suspension system, responsible for transferring power to the wheels and supporting the weight of the front of the car. The front axle assembly, including the front axle shaft, works in tandem with other parts like the steering knuckle to ensure proper steering and stability. In front-wheel-drive vehicles, the front axle is often referred to as the CV axle due to the constant velocity joints that allow for flexible movement during turns. A solid front axle is more common in heavy-duty trucks and some off-road vehicles.

Maintaining a healthy front axle is essential for overall vehicle handling and safety. Worn-out components, such as a damaged CV axle or a failing axle bearing, can lead to strange noises, vibrations, and poor steering response. Regular inspections and timely repairs, including a CV axle replacement when necessary, are crucial to keeping your vehicle running smoothly and safely.
