Red Line GL-5 gear oil is formulated for superior protection and improved differential efficiency. It offers excellent lubrication, high viscosity index, and the ability to reduce operating temperatures. This new formula contains additional friction modifiers making it suitable for clutch-type limited-slip differentials (LSD) without requiring additional modifiers in most cases.

While exceeding API GL-5 specifications, it's important to note that this gear oil is not recommended for most manual transmissions or transaxles due to its potential to cause shifting problems. Applications include differentials in various cars and light trucks. Red Line GL-5 gear oil is recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E and SAE J2360 applications.
