The K&N 57-1552 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. Designed to significantly reduce intake restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow, K&N intakes allow your engine to inhale more air than the factory air filter assembly, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 57-1552 air intake includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that connects to the fresh air duct. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, providing a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. A custom heat shield protects intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes. The installation process requires a screwdriver, socket set, pliers, and a 5/8 inch wrench.
