The K&N 77-1553KP high-flow performance air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit specific Jeep Wrangler models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing with a K&N air intake system that dramatically reduces airflow restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows your engine to inhale more air than the stock air intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 77-1553KP air intake includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube features a durable chrome-like finish and accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions.
