K&N 69 Series Typhoon Short Ram Cold Air Intake, Silver for 07-09 Scion tC 69-8614TS

The K&N 69-8614TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for certain Scion TC models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing with a K&N Typhoon air intake, which significantly reduces airflow restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows your engine to inhale more air than the factory air intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 69-8614TS air intake includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube features a durable silver powder-coat finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor, EVAP solenoid valve, and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The installation process requires a few screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set, and some wrenches.
