The system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube that dramatically reduces air flow restriction. This allows the engine to inhale a larger volume of air, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the RPM range. The intake includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs in the original air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube to the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has a durable silver powder-coat finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter features a water-repellent DryCharger filter wrap for protection and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation requires basic tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set, and wrenches.
