The K&N 57-1548 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander models. Designed to reduce intake restrictions and improve airflow, this intake system allows the engine to inhale more air, resulting in increased power and acceleration. The system includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter, a heat shield, and an aerodynamically engineered intake tube that directs air to the engine's throttle body. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required. Easy to install using existing factory mounting points, the system comes with a limited warranty and is street legal in all 50 US states. The HDPE rotationally-molded tube increases airflow volume, leading to a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque.
