The K&N 57-6015 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and intake housing, designed to significantly reduce intake restriction and increase airflow to the engine. This allows for improved power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The intake includes a chrome-topped high-flow air filter and a heat shield, directing air through an aerodynamically engineered tube into the engine's throttle body. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and a replacement silicon crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively easy, typically taking under 90 minutes using existing factory mounting points and common tools.
