K&N 57 Series FIPK Performance Cold Air Intake for 03-04 Ford Mustang Mach 1 V8-4.6L DOHC 57-2555

The K&N 57-2555 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Ford Mustang Mach 1 models. Designed to significantly reduce intake restrictions, K&N intakes enhance airflow by smoothing and straightening it. This allows the engine to inhale more air than the factory assembly, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the RPM range. The 57-2555 includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is channeled through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube to the engine's throttle body, guaranteeing a power increase. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. Required tools include a screwdriver, ratchet set, and several wrenches. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube increases airflow volume to the engine, guaranteeing increased horsepower and torque.
