The K&N 69-0015TR Typhoon air intake system is a high-performance air induction system designed to enhance airflow and increase power output in select Acura RSX and Honda CR-V models. By replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube, the Typhoon system dramatically reduces air flow restriction. This allows the engine to inhale a larger volume of air, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the RPM range. The 69-0015TR air intake includes a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter that installs into the existing air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a noticeable power gain. The intake tube features an attractive red powder-coat finish for durability and accommodates the factory IA bypass control thermal valve, air temperature sensor, and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter is designed for long-lasting performance and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before requiring servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation of the Typhoon air intake is relatively straightforward and can typically be completed in under 90 minutes using existing factory mounting points.
