The K&N 57-6011 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain Nissan Pathfinder models. Designed to significantly reduce intake restrictions by smoothing and straightening airflow, this intake system allows the engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the original assembly. This increased airflow results in enhanced power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 57-6011 intake features a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power increase. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before requiring servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation of this air intake is relatively straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The necessary tools include a screwdriver, pliers, a ratchet set, and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and are backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.
