The K&N 57-2529-1 FIPK air intake system is designed to enhance engine performance by replacing the factory air filter and intake housing with a more efficient design. By smoothing and straightening airflow, the K&N intake allows the engine to inhale a larger volume of air, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the RPM range. The 57-2529-1 air intake includes a chrome-topped high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is routed past the mass air sensor through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube to the engine's throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory vent hoses. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before requiring service, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less, using existing factory mounting points and common tools.
