Banks Power's air intake system for the 2017-2019 Duramax increases horsepower output. It features a large, new filter element that is designed to improve airflow and protect the engine. The enclosed housing helps to keep out hot engine air, which can rob power. Increased airflow can allow the engine to run more lean, reducing soot output and potentially decreasing the frequency between regenerations. This system can be used alone for a moderate horsepower gain, or it can be combined with a Derringer tuner for a more significant increase in power.
