The K&N 69-0017TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for certain Acura RDX models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing with a K&N Typhoon air intake, which significantly reduces airflow restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows your engine to inhale more air than the factory air intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 69-0017TS air intake includes a K&N XStream Top air filter designed for higher airflow and durability, and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's turbo inlet, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has a durable silver powder-coated finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. The K&N cold air intake system, featuring a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, guarantees an increase in horsepower and torque. Each system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media.
