The K&N 57-6014 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. Designed to significantly reduce intake restriction, K&N intakes enhance air flow by smoothing and straightening it. This allows your engine to inhale more air than the factory assembly, resulting in increased power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 57-6014 air intake includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power boost. The tube accommodates the mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before requiring servicing, depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The necessary tools include a few screwdrivers, pliers, a socket set, and several wrenches.
