K&N Performance Cold Air Intake - High-flow for 01-05 BMW M3 3.2L F/I 57-1003

The K&N 57-1003 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the factory air filter and air intake housing in certain BMW M3 models. Designed to significantly reduce intake restriction, K&N intakes streamline and straighten airflow, allowing the engine to inhale more air than the factory assembly. This increased airflow results in more usable power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range. The 57-1003 includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the existing air box space. Air is channeled through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube to the engine's throttle body, guaranteeing a power increase. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring service, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The necessary tools are a screwdriver, socket set, and Allen wrench.
