The K&N 57-1001 FIPK air intake system is a replacement for the standard air filter and intake housing in certain BMW 330 models. Designed to enhance airflow and reduce restrictions, this intake allows the engine to draw in more air than the factory system. This increased airflow results in improved power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range. The 57-1001 includes a chrome-topped high-flow air filter and a heat shield, directing air past the mass air sensor and into the throttle body. The oversized filter can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring service. Installation is typically straightforward, taking around 90 minutes with basic tools.
