Red Line 75W85 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil GL-5 (Set of 4 x 1 Gallon) 50105

Red Line GL-5 gear oil, formerly known as Lightweight Gear Oil, is formulated for superior drivetrain protection and efficiency. This enhanced version contains friction modifiers compatible with clutch-type limited-slip differentials (LSDs), eliminating the need for additional modifiers in most cases. The oil offers exceptional lubrication, high viscosity index, and reduces operating temperatures. It surpasses API GL-5 specifications.

While suitable for various differentials and gear applications in many late-model vehicles, this product is not recommended for most manual transmissions or transaxles with synchronizers due to potential shifting issues caused by its increased slipperiness.

Red Line GL-5 gear oil meets the viscosity requirements of multiple SAE grades, including 75W80, 75W, 80W, and 85W, as well as SAE 30 and 10W30 motor oils. It is also favored in specific racing transmissions like Hewland LD-200 and FTR sequential gearboxes.

These products contain the extreme pressure additives necessary for ultimate protection road cars and racing vehicles, as well as friction modifiers (except NS) for proper limited-slip operation
