While categorized as straight-weight oils, their low-temperature properties position them as exceptional multi-grade options. Red Line oils boast a 2-4% horsepower increase over comparable viscosity oils while providing enhanced protection. Notably, each viscosity grade reduction translates to a 1-2% horsepower gain.

These oils are suitable for applications with wider bearing clearances and are popular within methanol-fueled sprint and midget car racing due to their ability to extend oil change intervals by mitigating fuel dilution.

Racing oils provide more wear protection than motor oils for passenger vehicles, however, these products contain fewer detergents and are not suitable for street use
