Lucas Oil Extreme Duty CLP is a firearms maintenance product designed for cleaning, lubrication, and protection. It contains additives that dissolve various contaminants such as powder residue and old lubrication. It can also penetrate rust to aid in cleaning neglected firearms. The product’s anti-wear additives are designed to reduce friction and wear, while a special film provides water resistance and resists “blow out” for extended firearm life. Additionally, this CLP formulation leaves behind a microscopic layer that protects against rust and corrosion caused by handling, fingerprints, moisture, and harsh environments, including salt water. Notably, some major firearms manufacturers use this product to coat and protect firearms before shipping. The solvent-based aerosol formulation contains a drying agent that leaves firearms clean, protected, and free of gummy residue.
