MBRP 3" Resonator Bypass is designed for the 2020-2022 Ford Mustang GT500. It is constructed from T409 stainless steel, a grade known for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. This material is well-suited for exhaust applications that may encounter road chemicals or harsh weather conditions.

The resonator bypass replaces the stock resonator in the exhaust system. Resonators are mufflers that are specifically tuned to reduce exhaust noise at certain frequencies. Bypassing the resonator will generally increase the exhaust volume and alter the exhaust note.

T409 stainless steel is a cost-effective option that provides good durability in most environments. However, it is important to note that exposure to road salts or heavy precipitation may accelerate corrosion.  In these conditions, a higher grade of stainless steel may be preferable.
