The Banks Power Techni-Cooler intercooler is designed to improve engine performance by increasing airflow and lowering intake air temperatures. Compared to the stock intercooler, the Techni-Cooler features larger components in all areas, including the core area (25% larger), boost tubes (3-inch mandrel-bent), inlet/outlet openings, and even the end tanks. These larger, cast aluminum end tanks are designed for high-boost applications and offer improved durability over sheet metal designs used by some competitors.

By improving airflow and lowering intake air temperatures, the Techni-Cooler increases the density and oxygen content of air entering the engine. This leads to several benefits, including increased power output, lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), and improved fuel economy. Lower EGTs allow for increased fuel delivery without sacrificing engine longevity, resulting in higher continuous power and improved performance across the entire powerband.
