The Banks Power Ram-Air is a cold air intake system designed to improve engine performance and fuel efficiency. It utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and flow simulations to optimize airflow before a physical prototype is built and tested on a flowbench. This rigorous development process ensures the Ram-Air delivers superior performance. Unlike exposed stock air intakes that draw hot underhood air, the Ram-Air features a large, enclosed airbox housing a long-life filter. This design allows the system to draw in cooler, denser outside air, resulting in increased power (up to 39 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque with a tuner), improved fuel economy, lower exhaust gas temperatures, and reduced smoke emission. Furthermore, the Ram-Air is designed to prevent fault or error codes and features a unique bellow design to accommodate engine movement and extend service life. An optional high-flow Super-Scoop is also available for further performance gains.
