It replaces the original differential with a unit that can be locked and unlocked on demand through a switch, solenoid valve, and air lines. When locked, the Air Locker prevents the axle shafts from turning independently, ensuring maximum traction is delivered to both wheels. This allows drivers to navigate difficult situations with more control and reduces the risk of vehicle damage. While locked, the Air Locker operates like a conventional open differential when unlocked.
